One Portrait A Day is a photography project based on a simple rule: publish a different portrait every day, hence the name.
You might ask: why this project? Well, there are three main reasons:
The first one is commitment. Doing a 365 project might seem easy, but it isn't. At least for me. There are many constraints: finding new ideas every day, going out and visiting new places, publishing a new picture every day despite network problems, etc.
The other purpose of this project is to improve my photographic skills. I like to find new ways to improve myself. Taking, sorting, post-processing and publishing pictures everyday will hopefully improve my skills. I also count on people's advice, which are always welcome...
And finally, the last and hidden reason I'm doing this project is to overcome my shyness. Indeed, I'm a very shy person. Therefore, I think that forcing myself doing street photography will help me being more self-confident.
